HYBRID - "THE 8TH PLAGUE" ARTWORK & TRACK LISTING REVEALED

HYBRID, formed during 2004 in Madrid, are an avant-garde extreme metal band that mix brutal death metal, black metal, doom, crust, grindcore and even latin, bossa nova and crazy free jazz.

“The 8th Plague” is their much anticipated debut full length and features eight songs linked by an apocalyptic conceptual thread that represents human self destruction told through the stages of an insect’s metamorphosis.

I Ovum: alienation
01- Hundred Years Ocean
02- Soul Prolapse
03- Sleep Of The Defeated
II Larva: narcotization
04- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
05- Sun Burnt
III Chrysallis: transformation
06-Cocoon/Metamorphosis/Eclosion
IV Imago: obliteration
07- The Omega Swarm
08- Ashes Of Babylon

Mastered by Alan Douches (Suffocation, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan) “The 8th Plague” will be unleashed on 08/08/08 and is essential listening for fans of Cephalic Carnage, Meshuggah, Textures & Ion Dissonance.

MANATEES IN NME

There's a cool scene profile in this week's NME, with Down I Go, Maths, Blackfish and our very own Manatees. Here's what they had to say:

"For just three guys, Manatees make a racket. Frankly, an orchestra of demons playing volcanic fireworks couldn't match their noise. With slabs of guitar sliding like glaciers of doom, they've got more in common with Neurosis than Hatebreed but the relentlessness of their aural assault is stunning live." Ben Patashnik

Some exciting summer festival news just came in from the DSHS boys!! Here's what they had to say:

Yo Dudes!

We are extremely happy to announce that we shall be playing 2 of this summers most prestigious UK festivals, DOWNLOAD and T IN THE PARK

We will be playing DOWNLOAD on Sunday 15th June.

On the same day as Lost Prophets, Coheed, Jimmy Eat World, Cavelera Conspiracy, Apocalyptica, Municipal Waste, BTBAM and our good friends Exit Ten + loads more.

We will be playing T IN THE PARK on Saturday 12th July - along with such bands as Rage Against The Machine, Biffy Clyro, We Are Scientists, The Kooks, Minus The Bear, and TGOAT to name just a few.

Sadly T IN THE PARK is Sold Out already, but if you already have a ticket, we'd love to see you down there!

We can not convey how happy we are to be playing these shows and we hope that loads of you can come down and support us, as they promise to be HUGE!! ^_^
We'll post more info soon about stages and times.

Apologies to everyone who was going to come to our remaining Euro dates (Berlin, Munich and Milan), it was totally out of our control that the shows were cancelled, but we would like to thank GENGHIS TRON (who had to fly back to the US due to circumstances beyond their control) and NACHTMYSTIUM for being really cool guys, it was an honour to share the stage with them all and we hope they can both get back over to the UK and Europe very soon to finish their tour.

Thanks guys!

Big Love!

Palehorse lose singer.

Seedi left us recently, he had this to say on our myspace:

the end of stuff and things, but not as we know it

hello folks,

my name is seedi and i have been in pale horse since it started, which i think was october 2000. it is now may 2008, and i am done with it. pale horse will carry on without me, but hopefully i will do a couple of farewell shows with the guys i have spent these years in a band with, so that you can come ask pointless and inappropriately timed questions about why and why not sooner, and also so that fake nostalgic tears can well up in your hollow eyes. thanks to those who know they deserve it, probably not you then, mainly just thanks to us in fact, and goodbye for now to those who know they are worth it, just regular bye to the rest. i don't really know what else to say except myspace can suck it, and i can't believe we've been reduced to this.

if you would like to contact me:

don't.

(or just investigate, it's really not that hard to find me).

cheers,
seedi

"i am defecating somewhere near you

no matter where you are"

There's a Rocksound interview from years back when we lost our first singer in which John said we'd never have rolling lineups....I must dig that out....
